Rolex Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race
The Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race is simply one of the most famous, challenging, and spectacular offshore races in the world! It’s a true Australian institution, taking place every year over the holiday season.
The Start (December 26 – Boxing Day): The race sets sail every year on December 26 at precisely 1:00 PM from Sydney's stunning harbour. It’s a breathtaking spectacle, with hundreds of yachts and superyachts taking to the water surrounded by thousands of spectator boats.
The Finish in Hobart (From December 28–29): The fastest maxi yachts take about 1 to 2 days depending on the wind, while the rest of the fleet trickles into Hobart over the following days right up until early January.
