You pass through the great must-sees of Queensland by making a detour to the beautiful island of Fraser Island and to discover the islets of the Whitsundays.

Arriving in Cairns, you will not miss to snorkel in one of the most beautiful underwater sites in the world, the famous Great Barrier Reef.

Step 1: Brisbane

Brisbane is the capital of the state of Queensland and the third largest city in Australia. This charming city is renowned for its sunny climate and very rich culture.

You will take advantage of your stay in the capital of Queensland to discover the many botanical gardens of the city by bike, take a boat ride on the Brisbane River or relax by the lagoons of the South Bank.

Step 2: Brisbane – Noosa

This morning, you take your motorhome and set off towards Noosa. You are in one of the most famous corners of Australia. Noosa is THE seaside resort in Queensland.

This step will allow you to relax before you really start your motorhome adventure. You familiarize yourself with your vehicle and stroll along Noosa Pier.

Be sure to explore the many trails in Noosa National Park to get a glimpse of the Australian bush, and to take in the many vantage points that give you a panoramic view of the region.

Ideal for fishing and water sports, Noosa will allow you to wake up among koalas and exotic birds.

Step 3: Noosa – Hervey Bay

You continue your journey north and stop at Hervey Bay.

This stopover marks the starting point of your Fraser Island excursion. Depending on the time of year, you will have the opportunity to see whales (from mid-July to early November).

Step 4: Fraser Island

This morning you take your boat to Fraser Island.

Fraser Island is the largest sand island in the world and is a World Heritage Site.

Arrived on the Sand Island, you rent a 4X4 (sorry, but you will not be able to use your motorhome on this island) to get to the many attractions of the island, passing through the incredible Lake MacKenzie to 'at the Central Station rainforest. Camp along the island's beaches and meet the dingoes who will come and say hello.

Step 5: Hervey Bay – Bundaberg – Gladstone

You return to the mainland and continue your journey to Bundaberg, a historic sugarcane town known for its rum of the same name.

You then continue your way to Gladstone, an ideal stopover for snorkelling, with the famous Great Barrier Reef right at your feet.

You will also have the chance to try to do fishing, Australia’s national sport.

Step 6: Gladstone – Airlie Beach

Today you are on your way to Airlie Beach, a small tourist village that is the gateway to the Whitsundays.

You have a long day on the road ahead of you. You may consider stopping in Sarina to have your meal and take a dip in the water.

You have arrived at Airlie Beach, a vibrant little town that will allow you to meet many people and rest before visiting the Whitsundays by boat.

Step 7: Whitsundays

You go by boat for the day in the Whitsundays which is a group of islands (74) with the most beautiful beaches in the world. Most of these islands are still wild and uninhabited.

Depending on your expectations, you can take a day cruise on the island of Hamilton, Hayman, Hook or DayDream. It is a unique experience in the world that will delight young and old alike.

Step 8: Airlie Beach – Townsville

You are back on the mainland and take the road to Townsville, the administrative capital of North Queensland.

Townville is unique in that it has a pleasant climate most of the year. It is the starting point for the beaches and national parks of Magnetic Island.

Step 9: Townsville – Cairns

The road between Townsville and Cairns is also known as the "Great Greenway". You are in the heart of the sugar industrial zone which brings life to the whole region.

This part of Australia is known for its sandy beaches and tropical forests. Take a detour west to visit Wallaman Falls, Australia's largest waterfall. This area will amaze you with its natural beauty.

Step 10: Cairns

Your journey is coming to an end. You hand over your motorhome to our partner. You take advantage of this last step to do an activity that will forever be engraved in your memories. Now is the time to take a dive in the famous Great Barrier Reef to discover one of the most beautiful wonders in the world.

 

You end your stay with a ton of keepsakes to take back with you.
